The cottage is over one hundred and sixty years old and faces onto the village green in Kirk Yetholm. Recently renovated and extended to a very high standard, the cottage provides modern facilities like wet rooms and under floor heating whilst retaining its olde worlde charm. (To see the cottage in more detail click on the menu on the left).
The beds are extremely comfortable, with thick pocket sprung mattresses, quilted mattress protectors, goose down duvets (with summer, spring/autumn, and winter thickness) and lots of peace and quiet to ensure the best nights sleep. Anti-allergy duvets can be fitted, if requested in advance. The travertine bath and shower room floors are heated so there are no chilly shocks on a morning stepping onto cold floors!! The the two sitting rooms have open fires for extra warmth, all in addition to the central heating. Please look at some of the comments that recent guests have left in the cottage guestbook.
Just across the village green is an award winning pub and restaurant (if you’re planning on eating there on your first night it’s worth reserving a table beforehand). Town Yetholm, half a mile away, has a Post Office, well stocked village shop (newspapers, off-licence and groceries), an award winning butcher and a garage that sells fuel.
